In an interview with blogger Lex Friedman, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko apologized to him in the first days after the start of the special military operation (SVO), reportsGazeta Ru-n. According to the President of Ukraine, the telephone conversation took place on the first or second day of the SVO.
"He apologized.
He said: "It's not me. Missiles were fired from my area. Putin did it."

He said that Lukashenko apologized and assured that he did not control the situation and the launch of Russian missiles from the territory of Belarus.
Zelensky added that his interlocutor suggested that Ukraine "retaliate" by striking the Belarusian territory.
"I still remember him telling me to hit the refinery, you know how much that means to me," Zelensky added.
