"Past" newspaper's exclusive interview with the leader of the "All-Armenian Front" movement, former Minister of Defense of the Republic of Armenia, Major General Arshak Karapetyan.
- Mr. Karapetyan, recent years have been turbulent for Armenia in terms of events, unfortunately, mostly not positive events.
The year 2024 is coming to an end. It would be interesting to know how the past year was for our country. - Unfortunately, there is no positive news for Armenia, considering that we lost Artsakh in 2023.
Our government behaves very badly towards the people of Artsakh, especially after handing over our ancestral lands. Instead of justifying that they could not keep Artsakh, the Armenian authorities began to say that they did the right thing by handing over Artsakh.
We handed over our historical territory, our soul, Artsakh. We continue to lose our lands, no one sits with us at the negotiating table. Armenia has become a guest in foreign political relations. And if you present yourself as a guest, then you cannot solve serious issues.
You are just a participant. you can listen to the conversations, talk on the phone, play. It is very painful, but our situation remains difficult. - This year, you founded the "All-Armenian Front" party, the National Pride Tribunal, and, in general, you and your team were quite active.
What did you manage to do in 2024, and most importantly, what did you not do? - The most important thing we did was the registration of the "Hamaren Front" party, it happened on August 23, the day of the Declaration (the Supreme Council of the Armenian SSR in 1990 On August 23, he adopted the Declaration of Independence of Armenia.
We were able to convince Armenians all over the world to create the Armenian National Pride Tribunal resolution and we are actively working on that resolution.
This year, after the registration of the "All-Armenian Front" party, we have actively started working, we have organized scientific and practical conferences, round tables, actions, we are speaking in the mass media.
We are creating a new political force. We have written letters to Nikol Pashinyan and the Foreign Ministry regarding the issue of Armenian prisoners of war held in Azerbaijani prisons. Unfortunately, the number one responsible, Nikol Pashinyan, did not respond to our letters.
But we are doing serious work in that direction. You don't have to sit on the street, in cafes, etc. and follow us. We invite you to watch and listen, you can also participate.
The "All-Armenian Front" party fulfilled this year's work plan by 98 percent.
We work so well that the NSS has set up a "booth" near our office and is watching us. There is no event that they do not follow us from afar.
I want to say that it is not necessary to look from afar, we are ready to officially invite all those who are interested in us, we are ready to send an invitation to the RA NSS and other similar structures. But perhaps we will not wait for their answer to this proposal, most likely we will think about it and send them an official invitation.
We will also invite to other events organized by the movement and the Pan-Armenian Front party. We have nothing to hide.
On December 25, we organized the scientific conference "Geopolitics and the future of Armenia". they informed me that we recorded their presence, we should not forget that there are spies in our party.
And in general, I can say that I am satisfied with the work of our team. It is good that nothing bad happened to our people, except that our lands were handed over. I hope that everything will be fine, 2025 will be ours, I speak about it with confidence.
- Since the National Pride Tribunal was mentioned, it would be interesting to know at what stage is its activity?
- The National Pride Tribunal of Armenia examines the activities of the Armenian government, which does not work for the benefit of Armenia, but works for one person.
"Mr. General, you have not once criticized the foreign policy of these authorities. Are they actually leaving Russia or are they showing the West that they are leaving?" , but there are facts that you cannot ignore. To be honest, I think that these games with the West are about finances. After all, when you have serious problems, why do you run to Russia, EAEU for help?
In that case, go and solve your problems in the West. These people don't know what they are doing. They go where the money is. Today, the main goal of the Armenian leadership is to make money. But, as a rule, those who think according to those standards have a bad end in their activities.
I think that this team does not know where it is going. I don't want to evaluate those upset people, what they want or don't want. I know our plans for the future, I know that we will achieve our goals.
And our people will be safe and will live well. "Almost all the oppositionists say that the way to save Armenia is to remove Nikol Pashinyan and his team as soon as possible. Is the change of government that easy, and what should be done to get rid of these authorities?"
- We differ from other political parties in that we do not aim to remove anyone from office.
Our goal is to preserve the statehood of Armenia, the development of the country, the existence and security of the Armenian people. So, we must defeat the current government.
The head of the country should be ready. 1. That he should shoot himself. 2. That the people will destroy him. 3. That his monument will be erected in Hraparak, the place of Lenin's former monument. These three paths await any leader who comes as the head of the country.
If you look carefully, two of the three paths lead to death.
For those who intend to come to power, the most important thing is this: it is necessary to know today what you are going to do. If it concerns the "All-Armenian Front" movement, the time will come and you will see that we will not start studying what to do after coming to power.
We have an action plan, we know our next steps and what to do.
We have a large-scale action plan in Armenia's security, healthcare, economy and other directions. - There is a point of view that Nikol Pashinyan may not wait for the next elections and organize special elections a few months before them in order to surprise the opposition forces.
Are you going to participate in the regular or special elections or have you not decided yet? - We will participate in all the state events of Armenia.
But knowing Nikol Pashinyan, I must mention that he loves his chair very much, that's why he will never take that step, it is unlikely. - Summarizing, is there a question that was not asked, but which you would like to answer, or perhaps at the end of the year, address your words to our people from the pages of "Fact"... - There are many questions that can be raised, but I did not want to waste our readers' time.
