In the eastern province of Paktika, 46 people were killed near the Afghan-Pakistani border as a result of airstrikes by the Pakistan Air Force, TASS reported, citing the official representative of the Afghan government, Zabihullah Mujahid.
"Yesterday (December 24) evening, Pakistanis attacked the Barmali district of Paktika province. The total number of victims is 46, most of whom are women and children," he said, adding that six more people were injured.
On December 24, the Ministry of Defense of the Taliban reported that the armed forces of Pakistan launched attacks on the province of Paktika. The department condemned the actions of the Pakistani side, stressing that they violate international norms and "do not solve any problem".
The Ministry of Defense also assured that the incident "will not go unanswered".
