Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will visit Syria with a large delegation, the Turkish newspaper Hurriyet reports, without specifying the date of the expected visit.
"A transitional government will be formed quickly in Syria. President Erdoğan will visit Damascus with a large delegation, together with the ministers responsible for investments," wrote Abdulkadir Selvi, columnist of the newspaper.
Recep Tayyip Erdogan said after the cabinet meeting on Monday that Turkey maintains close ties with the new Syrian administration and will provide it with all possible support.
He added that the number of visits to Syria from Turkey will increase as a result of the visits of Turkish National Intelligence Organization head Ibrahim Kalin and Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan to Damascus.
