Natural Phenomenon: Coastal Cappuccino

Such a phenomenon as the Cappuccino Coast can be observed quite rarely, Levon Azizyan, director of the Hydrometeorology and Monitoring Center, wrote about this on his Facebook page.

"This is a natural phenomenon of the formation of a huge amount of dense sea foam, which is carried to the shore by the wind. It is most often seen in the warm tropical waters of the southern hemisphere of the Earth," he wrote.

According to experts, the phenomenon is caused by several factors: high concentrations of salt, seaweed and various wastes, which are "hit" by strong currents and winds and are then washed ashore.
