"The Japanese government will provide four large demining vehicles to the State Emergency Situations Service of Ukraine (SESUS) through the Japan International Cooperation Agency. Demining and disposal of unexploded ordnance are not only important for ensuring the safety of residents, but are also a part of infrastructure restoration efforts," the department's statement said. It is expected that the supply will be completed by the end of the current year. In addition, the Japanese side will hold demining courses for the employees of the National Security Service. Japan and Ukraine signed a bilateral security agreement for 10 years in June. In addition, in 2024 during this period, Kiev will receive 4.5 billion dollars from Tokyo.
