The United States launched an airstrike on the Houthi coordination center in the capital of Yemen

The United States carried out a targeted airstrike on the main command and control center of Yemen's Houthi rebels in Sana'a, the US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced on the X social network.

"The targeted facility was a coordination center for Houthi operations, such as attacks on US Navy ships and commercial vessels in the southern Red Sea and Gulf of Aden," the statement said. The US military said the strike indicated CENTCOM commitment to "protect US and coalition personnel, regional partners, and international shipping."

In Yemen, the correspondent of the Lebanese Al-Mayadeen TV channel reported that "a powerful explosion took place in the capital Sana'a".
