The RA President and the EBRD President exchanged ideas on the development of the RA capital market, infrastructure financing

Within the framework of the 33rd annual meeting and business forum of the Board of Governors of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development held in Armenia, the President of the Republic Vahagn Khachaturyan met with the President of the EBRD Odile Renault-Basso.

The President of the Republic noted with satisfaction that the holding of such a significant event in Armenia testifies to the high level of close cooperation between the EBRD and Armenia.

Issues of bilateral interest were discussed during the meeting.

Reference was made to the ongoing developments and directions of changes in Armenia's economy and financial system, existing challenges and opportunities to overcome them.

Thoughts were exchanged on the development of Armenia's capital market, infrastructure financing, continuous reforms in the economy of Armenia, developments in the banking system and the private sector, as well as the fundamental principles of anti-corruption policy implemented by the government.

Both sides highly appreciated the jointly implemented programs in different regions of Armenia and different sectors of the country's economy and emphasized the importance of the democratic reforms implemented in recent years in the further development of the country.
