I once recommended at a Cabinet meeting that our road builders and infrastructure partners should watch the broadcasts of major international cycling competitions because it provides the most information about roads. RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said about this today, May 30, at the government session: "I am watching with interest, and I don't see if there is, for example, a road that passes under a rock or soil cut and without a retaining wall. there is simply no such thing. In other words, if there is a road that is lower than any level, it is mandatory or there is a retaining wall, or there are protective nets, it is excluded that you go directly on the road, look up and see the ground, there is no such thing. The other thing is obvious that all that was not done. in one day, the work of that volume was not done in any day, not in a year, not even in ten years, it is a culture that is constantly being done. If we decide now that in the next five years we have to bring all our roads to that standard, it is not only unrealistic, it is not even worth thinking about, but we have to take this into account," said the Prime Minister.
He also noted that in Europe, in the rivers where water flows have increased, there is not a single bridge whose foundation is not protected by an additional construction, we do not have such a thing in Armenia. it's a matter of standard, but we also know that the more we increase the standard, we want high quality, the more the price goes up. There is no need to hesitate to invite international partners, and pay these people normally and receive normal services. And after all, there is an old Armenian proverb between expensive and cheap, which says that there is no cheaper than expensive."
