"However, it does not follow that we cannot help at all, and here a lot depends on each of us. I will present a few suggestions below, with a clear awareness of the cause and effect of what is happening:
- demand that the regime in Armenia make the release of hostages an integral part of the currently negotiated "peace" agreement, and not to sign such an agreement without it, even if its signing is delayed as a result,
- on a larger scale, as a precondition for stable peace, to set Azerbaijan's recognition of the right to self-determination of the people of Artsakh, and its refusal to pursue any criminal prosecution against the participants of the military conflict while exercising that right,
- abandon the disastrous idea of dissolving the Minsk Group, because it will directly delegitimize the entire Artsakh struggle and open the door to even more brazen demands from Azerbaijan, including mass extradition of the participants of the Artsakh struggle,
- To focus the resources of the influential centers of the diaspora on the issue of the release of hostages, focusing on it the lobbying work in their countries of residence. Special emphasis on the work with the Russian leadership, because the Armenians held hostage in Baku were under the actual protection of its peacekeeping forces.
- To turn the world public opinion on the judgment taking place in Baku, discrediting the hereditary dictatorial system ruling there in every possible way.
