The number of passengers served by Ukrainian transport companies in January-October 2020 decreased by 53.7% (2.2 times) compared with the relevant period in 2019, to 41.8 billion passenger-kilometers, according to the data provided by the State Statistics Service of Ukraine.
Over the reporting period, 2.13 passengers used the services of domestic transport companies, which is 39.8% less compared with January-October 2019.

In particular, the number of passengers carried by rail in January-October 2020 reached 57.5 million, which is 55.9% less compared with the same period last year; passenger turnover totaled 9.0 billion passenger-kilometers (down 2.7 times).

Some 902.0 million passengers were carried by motor vehicles in January-October 2020, which is 40.1% less compared with the same period last year, passenger turnover amounted to about 15.96 billion passenger-kilometers (down 43.7%).

Ukrainian airlines carried 4.3 million passengers over the reporting period, which is 2.8 times less than in January-October 2019; passenger turnover amounted to 7.90 billion passenger-kilometers (down 2.8 times).

Some 0.3 million passengers used water transport services in January-October 2020 (down 2.5 times); passenger turnover amounted to 3.9 million passenger-kilometers (down 6.6 times).

As reported by Ukrinform, according to the State Statistics Service, the passenger turnover of transport enterprises amounted to 107.9 billion passenger-kilometers in 2019, which is 3.3% higher than in 2018.
