President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky signed a law on raising the minimum wage in Ukraine, which was earlier approved by the Verkhovna Rada at an extraordinary meeting on August 25, 2020, according to the president’s website.
The document provides for an increase in the minimum monthly wage and its establishment at the level of UAH 5,000 [the NBU’s exchange rate as of August 31, 2020: USD 1 = UAH 27.48] from September 1, 2020.

A reminder that President Zelensky earlier stated that the increase in the minimum wage from September 1, 2020 is only the first stage. The Ukrainian government is planning to raise the minimum wage to UAH 6,000 from 2021 and to UAH 6,500 from 2022.
