Since 2014, the Security Service of Ukraine has banned 9,838 foreign citizens from entering Ukraine, including 573 people this year.
As the Radio Liberty informs with reference to the Security Service, the decisions were made in the interests of national security.

"The Security Service of Ukraine, within its competence, endorses decisions to ban entry into Ukraine to foreigners or stateless persons in the interests of national security of Ukraine. Thus, within the period from 2014 to 2020, the Security Service of Ukraine has banned 9,838 foreign citizens from entering Ukraine, including 573 people in 2020," reads a response to information inquiry.

The citizenship of the mentioned people was not specified.

It was also noted that according to the law, the decision to ban foreigners from entering the territory of Ukraine can also be made by the State Border Guard Service and the State Migration Service of Ukraine.
