Batch of humanitarian aid from China to arrive in Ukraine on April 1 - Kuleba

The batch of humanitarian aid from the Chinese government to help fight the coronavirus spread will arrive in Ukraine on April 1.
The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry’s press service reported this following a video conversation between Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of China to Ukraine Fan Xianrong and Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba, according to the Foreign Ministry’s press service.

"Dmytro Kuleba expressed gratitude to China for helping Ukraine to combat the Covid-19 pandemic and the batch of humanitarian aid that will arrive in Ukraine on April 1. It will include PCR tests, remote thermometers, medical safety glasses and other personal protective equipment for medical staff,” reads the statement.

It notes that the parties agreed to continue cooperation in this area. In particular, the Chinese ambassador confirmed the possibility of facilitating the centralized deliveries to Ukraine of aid that Chinese cities had collected for Ukrainian twin cities.

The parties also paid special attention to the development of trade and investment between the two countries, in particular, prospective projects that could be implemented in Ukraine in the near future with the participation of the Chinese side.

“Supporting Ukrainian exporters is my priority. In 2019, China became a major trading partner for Ukraine. The trade turnover between our countries reached a record $12.8 billion. This year we must not only maintain but also develop this success by balancing the structure of trade,” Kuleba stressed.

As Ukrinform reported, as of 10:00, March 31, Ukraine had 549 laboratory-confirmed coronavirus cases.
