Ukrainian footballers have defeated Sweden 2-1 in the qualifying round of the 2020 UEFA European Under-19 Championship.
The match took place at the Jernvallen stadium Sandviken on Tuesday, November 19.

Goals were scored by Danylo Sikan (6, 43) and Jack Lahne (71).

In another Group 9 match, Slovenia hammered Estonia 7-0.

In previous matches, Ukraine beat Estonia 4-0 and played out a 1-1 draw with Slovenia.

Thus, Ukraine and Slovenia made it through to the elite round of the U19 Euro 2020 qualifying.

In the elite round, played in the spring, the qualifiers and the two teams given byes compete in seven mini-tournament groups of four, with the winners joining the hosts in the finals. The finals will take place in Northern Ireland in July next year.
