The Western sanctions against Russia over its aggression should be kept until Ukraine's territorial integrity is fully restored within the borders prior to 2014.
"Our stance on Russia is explicit. We consider that the sanctions policy towards Russia should continue," President of Poland Andrzej Duda said at a joint press conference with President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

The sanctions should be kept until the territorial integrity of Ukraine within the borders with Crimea and occupied Donbass is restored, he added.

“Warsaw supports and will support Ukraine on its path of rapprochement with the EU and NATO, as well as support the internal democratic transformations and reforms in the country,” Duda said.

The President of Poland noted that his country was looking forward developing transport and border infrastructure in Poland, deepening trade turnover.

He stressed that the Polish side would study the possibility of increasing a number of checkpoints on the Poland-Ukraine border and the development of transport links, in particular along the Pivdennyi Buh and the Dnister rivers.

The President of the Republic of Poland also noted that a possible prisoner swap between Ukraine and Russia could be a good step to resolve the crisis in eastern Ukraine.

The settlement of historical disputes with Ukraine is "fundamental" for the Polish side, Duda stressed.

The Polish leader also thanked his Ukrainian counterpart for participating in the commemorative events in Warsaw on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the outbreak of World War II.
