Since the beginning of the year, UAH 62.9 billion worth of value added tax (VAT) was reimbursed to large businesses, which is 38% more than in the relevant period in 2018, according the press service of the State Fiscal Service’s Office of Large Tax Payers.
"In the first half of 2019, UAH 62.9 billion worth of VAT was reimbursed to taxpayers of the Office, which is UAH 17.4 billion, or 38%, more compared with the relevant period in 2018 (UAH 45.5 billion worth of VAT was returned to taxpayers in H1 2018),” reads the report.

The share of large businesses in the VAT refund across Ukraine made up 75.1% of the total amount of compensation (the share of large businesses amounted to 70% on average in 2018).

In the context of regions, the tax reimbursement to large taxpayers by the Office of Large Taxpayers in H1 2019 was as follows: Kyiv - UAH 23.7 billion, Zaporizhzhia - UAH 14.7 billion, Dnipro - UAH 12 billion, Kharkiv - UAH 4.7, Odesa - UAH 4.3 billion, Lviv – UAH 3.5 billion.
