18 апреля во Флориде на аукционе Urban Culture Auctions будут проданы 125 эскизов, созданных Карлом Лагерфельдом. Рисунки дизайнера находились в частной собственности с 1960-х годов, и многие из них будут представлены публике впервые.
Карл создал эти эскизы для таких известных женщин, как Элизабет Тейлор, Дорис Дьюк и Джина Лоллобриджида, во время своей работы в итальянском Доме моды Тизиани в 60-х годах.
По данным аукционного дома, две работы Карла, созданных для Тейлор, оцениваются в $ 3000 каждая. Стартовая цена других нарисованных моделей, датированных 1963–1969 гг. от $ 2000–4000. Купить работы дизайнера можно будет и онлайн.
Ранее редкие наброски хранились в архивах модного дома Тизиани. В 2014 году большинство коллекции было распродано. Имена новых владельцев остаются неизвестными.
Как известно Euromedia24, Карл Лагерфельд не хранил свои наброски. В 2007 году дизайнер признался в интервью The New Yorker, что старается выбрасывать все лишнее, а самым важным предметом мебели в доме он считает мусорное ведро.
